Walking into Nbari
Feb 27, 2026

Procrastination cost me the first edition of Nbari. I wasn’t going to let it rob me twice. When the call for Nbari applications came again, I didn’t walk; I sprinted.
Every bit of the class was exciting.
From the first class, I knew there was nowhere to hide. Especially with our camera policy. It was a lot of leaving my comfort zone for me. I was that person who would attend classes and not say a word until they finished.
But in this class, there was no hiding. At every point, we had to give feedback; we had to answer questions.
Over the weeks, it made asking and answering questions easy.
What I found at Nbari was not the typical brand strategy class I expected. It was something deeper. It felt like a proper thought-alignment lab where scattered ideas found direction, where vague visions became concrete, and where I had no choice but to confront every detail of a brand’s journey. It forced me to zoom out and see the bigger picture while also zooming in to examine how each touchpoint contributes to a holistic brand experience.
The most rewarding part? I didn’t have to practice on someone else’s brand. I got to work on my own project. Every lesson, every framework, every discussion wasn’t just theory. It was applied learning. I could see my project taking shape in real time, brick by brick.
Nbari didn’t just tell me to build; it handed me the resources and showed me how to put them together. It gave me clarity, direction, and, most importantly, confidence.
Yes, the classes were overwhelming. But overwhelming in the best way, the kind that stretches your capacity, sharpens your thinking, and leaves you energized, not drained.
Creating Echoes
When I joined Nbari, Echoes was barely a year old. The vision was there but scattered. After Nbari, everything aligned. Identity, messaging, and storytelling are all well grounded.
Now, as we prepare for the second edition of Echoes in just a few weeks, I can feel the difference. The brand is more grounded, more intentional. And beyond the main event, we’re even launching Echo Circles—a community offshoot that extends the heartbeat of the brand.
My favorite sessions? Without a doubt, the brand essence class and the brand experience class. Painstaking, yes. But transformative. The SSHFT framework especially was a game changer. We weren’t just building one-off experiences that looked good on paper but fell apart in
real life. We were designing connected, coherent experiences that touched every aspect of the brand, leaving nothing to chance.
On speaking with the judges
In my head, the project showcase was going to be small, just me and a handful of judges. But when I walked into a room filled with people, my heart skipped. My first instinct was to run. My second was to breathe, stay, and face it. I’m grateful I chose the latter.
In ten minutes, I told the story of months of hard work. And for the first time, I felt not just relief but validation. Nbari didn’t just teach me brand storytelling; it taught me how to tell stories on paper, in person, and in front of an audience. That lesson has changed the way I think about every presentation I’ll ever make.
Nbari isn’t just another brand strategy class. The difference is in how you experience the brand itself. It’s not theory in a vacuum; it’s lived, felt, practiced. Every activity, every conversation, and every framework was designed to be hands-on. And that’s why it sticks.
Nbari doesn’t just teach you strategy. It changes the way you think, create, and tell stories.
